Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, AJ Rozema has been building, fixing, and figuring things out since he was 13 years old. He grew up in a family where hard work came standard, and by his teenage years, he was already knee-deep in the trades.

AJ went to school to become an electrician, but like any true builder-at-heart, he found himself drawn to full home renovations — where he could work with his hands, solve problems, and see the full transformation from start to finish. After years in the reno world, he picked up a Bobcat, and just like that, found his groove in landscape construction.

From wiring homes to redoing them from the ground up, to shaping outdoor spaces across Chestermere and Calgary — AJ’s done it all. With over 20 years of experience, a deep love for his hometown, and a serious passion for quality work, he’s built ISR into a company that’s honest, reliable, and community-rooted.

Every great crew needs someone to keep an eye on things — and at ISR , that role belongs to Luna, our beloved blue nose pitbull and self-appointed Safety Inspector.

With her serious face and wiggly butt, Luna takes her job very seriously (especially when snacks are involved). Whether she’s supervising site visits, riding shotgun in the truck, or just offering moral support during coffee breaks, Luna brings loyalty, love, and a whole lot of tail wags to the team.

She’s great with people, gentle with kids, and somehow manages to boost team morale just by existing. Plus, her bark is worse than her bite — mostly because she doesn’t bite, and would rather nap in the sun.

Luna reminds us to stay grounded, stay kind, and always take a minute to scratch behind the ears.

If AJ’s the engine behind ISR , Kelvin Rozema is the blueprint.

As AJ’s dad and long-time mentor, Kelvin brings decades of hands-on experience in interior renovations — and the kind of know-how you can’t learn from a YouTube tutorial. From framing to finishings, drywall to design tweaks, he’s the guy who’s seen it all and fixed most of it (usually without even putting down his coffee).

Kelvin is a true craftsman with a sharp eye, steady hands, and an uncanny ability to make even the trickiest reno jobs look easy. He’s known around here as the go-to guy for anything inside the house — and for always having a classic one-liner ready when things get stressful.
